Houston Rodeo - Spring Break 2009

Yesterday morning around 9:30 A.M. we set off to The Houston Rodeo and Livestock Show. The kids had a blast. We saw animal races, the birthing center, chickens, cows, pigs, horses, rabbits, big tractors, the petting zoo, how honey is made, how milk is processed and many other things. The kids saw a new born sheep that was not even 12 hours old. We rode carnival rides. We went to the petting zoo and petted deer, pigs, sheep and goats. They had a kids section that taught them how groceries and other farm products were processed and taken to the grocery store. They even got to make their own cowboy ropes (These might prove to be dangerous later). Over all a good time was had by all and it ended up being a great learning experience. (I wonder if I can write it off as a school expense?) We got home around 6:00 P.M. and Mommy and Collin were soon fast asleep on the couch not long after we got home. Collin even went to bed with out dinner.
